New version of Earth Alerts Available :: Superb Freeware

A few months back I had written about Earth Alerts - "Get free alerts on Catastrophes :: Earth Alerts for US Citizens".

Yesterday I got a mail from Matt (The developer of EA) saying that a new version of the cool software is out. It mainly focuses on the US and is a cool tool to try out.

Best of all it is an absolutely freeware. In case you haven't checked it out yet, head over to http://earthalerts.manyjourneys.com and download the cool software rightaway.

For a complete review of the software click here.

Key Features:

  • Worldwide activity: tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, & tropical weather (typhoons, hurricanes, etc.)

  • U.S. Locations activity: local weather forecasts & alerts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, & wildfires

  • Special overview of U.S. severe weather: thunderstorms, tornadoes, wind, hail, fire weather, and landslides

  • Visual and sound notifications on your Windows desktop identifying active alerts

  • Email notifications of active alerts

  • Mobile phone notifications of the most severe activity (tsunamis, major earthquakes, etc.)
