How to easily add Inline Comments when Replying to E-Mail

When you reply to e-mail messages, you can reply within the body of the original message by adding inline comments. Your text appears where you position the insertion point and is preceded with your name. Or if you want, you can choose whatever text you'd like to identify your comments.

Customize text used to mark comments in a message reply:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options
  2. Click E-Mail Options
  3. Select the "Mark my comments with" check box, and then type the text that you want to use to identify your comments.

When you reply to a message, this text will be used to identify any comments you make in the body of the sender's original message.
