How about going to Jamaica this summer?

Well, I have No plans of taking a trip outside India in the coming weeks. But one of my pals is toying on an idea of taking an all inclusive jamaica vacation. He asked me check online and get him all the information I could gather for him to plan for the trip. Well, I did a lot of research in the last 2-3 days and this is what I could come up with regarding a trip to Jamaica.

Jamaica is certainly beautiful, all around. The people are generally friendly. The food is glorious. The beaches fantastic(Just see the picture to your right).

Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean, and the most populous English speaking island. The island of Jamaica is home to the Blue Mountains inland and is surrounded by a narrow coastal plain. Most major towns and both cities are located on the coast. Chief towns include the capital city Kingston, Portmore, Spanish Town, Mandeville, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, and the city of Montego Bay.

The climate in Jamaica is tropical, with hot and humid weather, although higher inland regions have a more temperate climate. Some regions on the south coast, such as the Liguanea Plain and the Pedro Plains are relatively dry rain-shadow areas.

Your best bet is to find a travel agent near your home and let them help you plan your trip. They can give you brochures and information on different places. It's hard to work with a travel agent in another state. There are seller of travel law requirements a travel agent must meet before they can sell travel originating in a state in which the travel agent does not live. You should be careful about choosing a travel agent.

We could find great deals at Vacations.net. The website is pretty neat and has some cool discounts of upto 50% for certain trips. The customized booking engine used in the site is intuitive, the content is personable as well as thorough, the images are compelling and most importantly, the site is easy to use. One of the coolest feature's of this site is the Resort rating feature - where ratings from travelers who have experienced the resort first-hand are displayed and it helps in making a rather good judgement.

As far as weather goes, it rains almost every day in Jamaica due to the tropical climate. But they're usually short showers and a very welcome break from the heat. Most resorts will furnish umbrellas for you to use.

Good luck and have fun to all those heading towards Jamaica this summer!!
