How to Make the "Links" Folder in Favorites Invisible?

The Links folder in Internet Explorer is an annoyance for many. To make it invisible, carry out the following:

• Pull down the Favorites menu, then right-click the "Links" folder, and select Properties
• Check "Hidden" und "Read-only" and click OK
