How to create a Drop Down for a cell in Excel

Here's the simple way to create a Drop Down for cell in Microsoft Excel.

Follow the procedure below:

Instead of using a reference to a list when constructing drop-down data validation lists (Data > Validation > Settings and Allow: List), you can list the data directly in the Source: field separated by a semicolon (e.g. New; Ongoing; Complete).
