wait, this shouldnt be possible. I read that adobe set cs3 b1 to lock up if u messed with it.

I dont see why it wouldnt lock it up with this.

BTW- does this work with the 2 day trial? or do u have to have a cs2 key?

Im not wasting $ on CS2, so I would be doing it with the 2 day trial.

If this does work, then i will cry
    -and laugh

Mine died on me, started wanting a serial number. Figured out a little workaround though.

Start up CS3, it will wait about 5 or 10 seconds before it asks for the serial and forces you to enter one. Click on Help -> About Photoshop quickly before it prompts you, then wait a moment, click on the box to make it disappear, and then repeat. You should then be able to use CS3 (working so far after about 3 hours)

It does work on a Mac, too:

Go to Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3 (the application file itself).

Right click on the app, and choose “Show package contents”.

In the new window, go to Contents/Resources/AMT/, and change the name of “application.sif”, just the same way as on Windows.

This has just worked for me on an Intel Core Duo MacBook running 10.4.8, on a CS3 trial downloaded from Adobe earlier today.

Thank you very much for the tip :)

After renaming the application.sif file to application.sif_, the cs3 expired in 30 days. Rename the file name back to application.sif and open the CS3, it will as for the key. Quit CS3 and rename the file back to application.sif_. You can use it again.

    on 6/05/2007 3:05 AM

  83. Anonymous said,

When 'product licence expired' announcement is your problem, just put back your computers date a few months. I created a batch file to do this every time I start photoshop. You can do this by yourself.

Open notepad. Create start_photoshop.bat with these lines:

    @echo off
    date /T >> c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
    date 01-01-2007
    start photoshop.exe
    type c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
    date
    del c:\users\yourname\datum.txt
    exit

You change ‘yourname' into you own directory of course, doesn't matter which dir. After that create (Vista) a shortcut and go to 'properties -> advanced' so you can start the program with administrator-rigths (otherwhise vista can't change the date). If it doensn't work make sure your dosprompt starts with administrator rights too.

Once you've done this, start photoshop via this shortcut. Photoshop will start while your date is automatically changed. After photoshop is loaded completely, change your date back to the old date.

Of course you have to start photoshop this way instead of clicking a psd-file.

Here's a modified version of what I made before... Now it closes after a countdown from 15 and changes your date back to the current date so while you're working in photoshop your system date isn't foobared.
Again just copy and paste it into notepad and save it on your desktop as whateveryouwant.bat
If you have a site where I can upload my files I'll send you a better version.
