Windows 7 Ultimate Crack Available for Free Download

Though we - the loyal customers need to wait a couple of months before we get the legal copies of Windows 7. The Windows 7 Activation crack is already available online for Free download. It has been barely a couple of weeks since Microsoft made available the RTM version of Windows 7 to the OEMs and lo we have the activation crack already available for Windows 7.

The Windows 7 Ultimate Activation crack is available on a Chinese Forum(Link cannot be revealed due to piracy concerns). The Windows 7 Ultimate activation crack has been built on the OEM version of Lenovo's Windows 7 Ultimate OEM DVD. The DVD ISO of Windows 7 Ultimate along with the newly available crack is already leaked at the forum. Anyone who uses the leaked .ISO, along with the OEM-SLP product key of Windows 7 Ultimate, coupled along with the activation certificates can be obtained through the boot.wim - helps you run Windows 7 Ultimate Final version.

The new activation crack uses a very simple technique of exploiting the "OEM Activation 2.1", which happens to be an updated volume license activation system by Microsoft that was earlier available from 2006 with Windows Vista and known infamously as "Activation 2.0". Looks like Microsoft hasn't learned from the mistakes coz, Activation 2.0 was previously the easy module break into Vista way back in 2006 when Vista hit the stores.

The new crack which has been successfully been built on a Windows 7 volume license means that anyone who uses this cracked version can install Windows 7 on numerous machines without any limitations as such.

The Nokia N97 : Beast Unveiled : A complete Review

Nokia E-series and N-series mobile phones have for a few years now had, by far, numerous capabilities than any other mobile phone out in the market - but they've not all of the time embodied to be the hottest or held the most encompassing mass appeal. Also, though Nokia sells many more smart phones than anybody else worldwide, they've not aimed or commercialized the US market to a great extent.

Nokia have got at last flaked the rubble and propelled onto the post-iPhone touch screen era. But whereas Apple borrowed quite a couple of UI elements from the Motorola Ming, and some other producers successively proved to imitate the iPhone look and feel, Nokia has considered a decidedly distinct approach path.

Pros of the nokia n97:
  • The keyboard is okey-dokey. They're not the most adept keyboard out in that respect and also there Is not umpteen tactile feedback from the keyboard as such.
  • The camera. is a very good 5 MP, dual LED flash one. It takes very nice pics, but why not utilize a single xenon flash instead I would really ask?
  • Looking for a specific contact is very engrossing with a fresh type of exploring that reminds of the SureType technology incorporated in the BlackBerry Pearl.
  • Google Maps -This mappings application is exactly as perfect on a n97 as elsewhere.
  • There's a courteous lock button on the side of the n97 that appears reasonably responsive (you can easily lock/unlock with a snap of your thumb).
  • 48 GB storage capacity so beneficial

Cons of the Nokia n97:
  • The touchscreen applies resistive technology and not capacitive technology like in the Apple iPhone. You'll have to apply the tip of your finger for most dependable response and not the bottom flesh of your thumb.
  • Zero iSync support.
  • The batery life on an n97 is like 24 hours.
  • The deficiency of an editing version for Quickoffice can really be a damper too.

Rare Coin Collecting - A Hobby

Some people have hobbies that don't really make a poor man afford - well, I am not talking about golf here but it is of a different kind. It is called as Rare Coin Collecting. Coins come in different shapes and sizes and also of different materials like Steel, Copper, Iron to even precious metals like Gold and Silver.

To get started you will need to first approach a coin dealer who can guide to essentially the best coins that you can easily afford. Always remember to purchase a graded Rare Coin than an ungraded one. Even if you are an expert in the Rare Coin field yet you could be easily be cheated at your nose.

There are lots of advantages of getting a coin graded. Whenever a rare coin gets graded it is immediately placed inside a permanent plastic display case. This case is transparent for the spectators to view the coin without damaging it. Also, in the case you will find the Rare Coin along with the year the coin left the mint, the official name of the rare coin and grade on a label.

As said before, always getting the rare coin professionally graded adds a lot of value to the rare coin and it also makes it easier to sell the coin at a later date. The difference in grades for the rare coin can change the value of the rare coin significantly. When the rare coin is graded, there will be no question in your(seller) or also on the buyers head.

Microsoft Soapbox to Shutdown

MSN will no longer offer Soapbox!! Soapbox was Microsoft's version of user generated video service and was also a part of MSN Video. Sadly it has met the grave and will be laid to rest on August 31, 2009. Microsoft Soapbox was considered to be the tech giant’s answer to Google’s most-popular video sharing service YouTube. The demise was announced via a formal e-mail a few minutes ago.

Microsoft hasn't completely backed out of the video sharing/streaming market though - as MSN Video will remain online. MSN Video gets roughly about 88 million unique visitors per month that translates to 480 million video streams a month. On the other hand Soapbox was getting a mere less than 5% of what MSN Video gets. So, it was quite obvious that the service need to be shut down. Hope Soapbox videos don't get listed on Irish buy and sell web site.

From 29th July 2009, users will NOT be able to upload any videos onto Soapbox and those folks who have uploaded videos earlier into their Soapbox account will have time until August 31, 2009 to download them. So maybe you need to download and upload onto youtube for greater prosperity!! I feel that the folks at Microsoft should have given an easy option for the SoapBox users to directly send the videos onto their MSN Videos account.

Simple difference between Java Beans and Enterprise Java Beans(EJB)

JavaBean - A Java Bean is a software component written in the Java programming language that conforms to the JavaBeans component specification. It is an API for objects which expose their properties via standard naming convention (getXXX(), setXXX(), isXXX()). These properties can be determined at runtime via reflection and introspection. For true JavaBeans, they should be Serializable and have a default constructor. The orginal intent was to make them easy for tooling (tools could discover their properties, expose them to configuration, etc.).

The JavaBeans APIs became part of the "core" Java APIs as of the 1.1 release of the JDK.

EJB - Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) are Java-based software components that are built to comply with Java's EJB specification and run inside of an EJB container supplied by a J2EE provider. It is an "enterprise" api for distributed objects. Provides a standard approach to building such objects and allowing an EJB container (EJB application server) to manage the lifecycle of the beans. EJB's provide persistance, scalability, and distributed transaction support (via the container).

An EJB or an enterprise java container provides distributed application functionality such as transaction support, persistence and lifecycle management for the EJBs. Further Details about apache tomcat or simply tomcat server and JavaBeans can be found at Sun Java Tutorial.

Advantages of Processing your clients Credit cards on your own

Processing credit cards all over the World Wide Web is among the quickest flourishing sections of dealings nowadays. These type of dealings or "card-not-present" dealings demands a exceptional type of merchandiser business relationship. Most credit card companies use exceptional standards to measure risk and they have a different fee structure since you never physically ascertain the credit card. There are a lot of benefits to taking into account this than to use a system like PayPal per se to set up your card-not-present account. Some of the best reasons why I feel that you must use your own service as compared to the Online ones are mainly pertaining to ease of use. It is more like using your own credit card machines when your client asks for processing their card.

Some very good advantages are like :
  • You can accept totally all leading credit cards as well as electronic checks, Internet auctions and gift cards.
  • You can also very easily forestall hoax - distinguish fishy transactions with value - added merchandises when you have your own processing set-up.
  • Also, you can set up the system to do either Real time or batch transaction processing of the Credit Cards.
  • Even you can set up Mobile Interfaces to work on card processing on the move.

You only need to have your own merchant account and that's it. Just run a web search and you'll come up with thousands of them. But approval can be hard and the fees will add together for a small business.

If you have an online business you will be able to use an online gateway which is fairly cheap. From there you will be able to accept all major credit cards. PayPal has a very good program in place but doesnot really work out well mainly due to high transaction or monthly fees that you are required to shell out.

Merchant Warehouse's cutting-edge innovation has been aptly named as MerchantWARE Mobile. MerchantWARE Mobile is basically a POS (point-of-sale) app that runs off mobile devices. It helps in providing merchants with the power to process credit and debit transactions instantly by accepting payments rather very innovatively on their Apple iPhone or iPod Touch. MerchantWARE Mobile is an idealistic for any merchant in the business. He could simply be a sales rep, or a cashier in a small store, or a vendor at a trade show or even simply a pizza delivery driver. A merchant exclusively needs to sign on for a merchant business relationship with the company, download/install the application program through Apple iTunes and establish a WiFi, Edge or a 3G network connection. That's all it takes now!!

Kindle 2 price Dropped!! Is there something more than what catches the eye?

The best selling e-reader of all times, Amazon’s Kindle 2 price has been been slashed by almost 15% recently to an all time low of $299. This might sound as a very cool news for many who wanted to buy a Kindle for themselves or gift someone a Kindle. But is there something behind the price drop by Amazon that catches the eye?

I for once surely feel that the price drop has been done by Amazon to flush off it’s aging inventory of Kindle 2’s while the company banks on the newly launched Kindle DX. Amazon it seems for once has completely sold out the first batch of Kindle DX's in an amazing 72 hours flat. Again the same story repeated after two weeks later, Amazon once again sold out "due to heavy customer demand" (as published on Amazon’s website). Currently the Kindle DX has a super cool four to six week wait for the fresh inventory to arrive.

But on the contrary you can readily purchase the 6-inch Kindle 2, isn’t that interesting?.

You can purchase the Kindle 2 online easily and securely on Amazon.com.

How to easily set the Bing Wallpaper of the Day as your Desktop Wallpaper automatically?

bing Bing – The latest web search engine from the Microsoft Stable is liked by some and scorned by others who would bet that Google is the best anytime. But whatever side you take – whether you like it or hate it – you will always like the daily changing background image that Bing sports.

Now if you want to automatically set the Bing Wallpaper of the day as your desktop wallpaper, you have a small utility that has been developed by MugunthKumar called as Bing Downloader. It is a small exe that is just about 10KB in size and can be easily downloaded here. All this fantastic utility (BTW, the code is open source – so you can change the C# code to ur whims and fancies) does is that it picks up the latest wallpaper from Bing and automatically sets it as your Desktop Wallpaper.

But what is missing in this light weight app is that there is no “Advanced Options” which would allow us to say download yesterday’s or any previous background wallpaper. Also, the user will need to run the Bing Downloader once a day to download that day’s Bing background image to the computer’s Desktop wallpaper.

Also, another issue is that the Bing background wallpapers are usually 958×512 pixels in size and this maynot make them very suitable for use on many Desktop Computers with large screens and having a larger display. But such users can easily center the wallpaper to make it look more pleasing. As for general NetBook or Laptop users this must be great. But my Acer D250 has a native resolution of 1024x768 so this is smaller for it too.

Below are some cool Bing Wallpapers that I have seen over the days.

Gmail Finally graduates out of Beta

google Yes, it seems that GMail has finally graduated pretty silently out of Beta. Sometime back we had an answer on Gmail Support which read as,

What happens when Gmail goes out of beta?

Once you have a Gmail address, it's yours. Even after Gmail goes out of beta, you'll keep the same address and username. We can't say when we're coming out of beta, but we're looking forward to it!

Even, that question has now been removed!! Guess, they found the answer. The official Google Blog and also the GMail Blog has a detailed article and also information that many other Google Apps have also graduated out of the Beta stage. The other Apps are Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Talk — both their enterprise and consumer versions will now be out of Beta. For regular users there is NO change in any of the apps, but for the enterprise users Gmail will now support mail delegation, mail retention and also a slew of ongoing enhancements to Apps reliability!!

Before : logo

After : logo1

So, it’s taken Google almost 5 long years to graduate Gmail out of Beta. But, there many of us who have been so very familiar with the grey BETA added to the logo and simply can’t really stay without it – Google has an option for such users. Just head to Settings in your Gmail Screen, click on Labs, and turn on "Back to Beta," . You will now have the GMail logo replaced with the earlier Beta one!! One hell lot of innovation I would call (Pun Intended).

Got a new NetBook – Acer Aspire D250 exclusively for Blogging

Yes, we got a new NetBook last week after quite some research. There were just so many contenders that it made the process of choosing the right NetBook that much more difficult. The NetBooks’ on offer were from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, HCL, Sony, Acer – all the top brands have atleast 2-3 models on offer and each of them have different specs and whistles added to woo the buyer.

I visited a couple of stores in Bangalore like Croma (Koramangala), eXcite (Koramangala), Staples(Marthahalli) and eZone. Also visited numerous online websites to look for reviews and recommendations. Finally I narrowed in on the following models:

  • HCL MiLeap MH214 – Priced at INR 19000 (Approx 400 USD )
  • Wipro e-go Atom 26an – Priced at INR 20000 (Approx 420 USD )
  • Acer Aspire One AOD250 – Priced at INR 22000 (Approx 460 USD )
  • Lenovo S10 – Priced at INR 23000 (Approx 480 USD )

As you can see there was much competition in the price points too – after all we are all so very price conscious. The stores didn’t have any in-house discounts or frills thrown in for any of these models, but the company’s did have a few optional whistles on offer. Here’s my review of each of these models.

HCL MiLeap : It comes with the following features (specifications):HCL Mileap Series

  • A modest 7" TFT touch screen.
  • Runs on the older 800 MHz Intel A110 Processor which comes with 512 KB L2 Cache and 400 MHz Front Side Bus.
  • Has the Mobile Intel 945GU (ultra low voltage) Express Chipset Motherboard.
  • Like the rest it comes with 1-GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM (You can Max it upto 2 GB in 2 slots)
  • A moderate 80-GB 5400 rpm SATA hard disk
  • An integrated 1.3 MP Camera
  • Integrated WiFi 802.11a/b/g LAN connection
  • Integrated Bluetooth v2.0
  • Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN connection
  • 4-in-1 Media Card Reader, Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory stick (MS), Secure Digital Card, MS-PRO
  • It can be converted into a Tablet with Touch Screen also has a Stylus Pen.
  • Comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home
  • Weighs only 960 Grams
  • 2 USB v2.0 ports
  • Touchpad with 2 button
  • Build-in Stereo 2 stereo speaker system 1.5 Watts each
  • Built-in Microphone

HCL Mileap But what set me off was the very poor built quality. It is very plasticky and I really doubt if it will last a year or so with regular use. NetBooks are mean’t to be more rugged as they are mostly used on the move. So HCL MiLeap quicky went off my list though the price was pretty tempting – but the older ATOM processor on board, 80GB Hard Disk and the 7” screen was surely a downer. Also, I had lots of concerns with the touch screen – the demo piece at Croma was just filled with finger smudges and also the OS was already corrupted.

Wipro e90 Wipro e-go Atom : This was next on my list and had pretty decent features(specifications) as follows :

  • Runs on the new Intel Atom N270 processor which packs in 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB and a good 512 KB L2 cache.
  • This too has the Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset.
  • Has a very good 10" WSVGA high-brightness LED Backlit screen.
  • Has a 1-GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM.
  • A good 160GB hard disk
  • Integrated WiFi 802.11a/b/g LAN connection
  • Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN connection
  • Media Card Reader which natively supports Secure Digital (SD) Card, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Reduced-Size Multimedia Card (RS-MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO) and xD-Picture Card (xD)
  • Upto 3-hour battery life with a 6-cell Lithium-ion battery pack
  • Comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home
  • Weighs 1.26 kgs
  • Three USB 2.0 ports
  • An integrated 1.3 MP Camera
  • Touchpad with 2 button
  • Build-in Stereo speakers
  • Built-in Microphone

Wipro e90 2 First things first, this is simply a wonderful NetBook – it comes packed with features. The look and build quality is very good. There are even some very crazy or eye-turner colours like a bright splash of Yellow (sure it’ll turn a few eyes). A very decent 160GB Hard Disk that must be quite sufficient for the data on the move. But, I was very skeptical that though this machine came with a 6cell li-ion battery – it is claimed to last only 3+ hours, not sure why? One downer is that there is NO integrated Bluetooth which is finding good use atleast with me – I can easily pair and transfer files from most mobiles and lappy’s.

Another good feature was that it had a LED Backlit screen which displays very crystal clear images(You must see to believe it). But the processor was N270 while there are competitors with N280 though they have an added 0.6GHz of higher speed – but it surely does matter on the move when processing power is at a premium. The price seems good too.

lenovo S10 Lenovo S10 : The specs of the Lenovo S10 are pretty cool and are as follows :

  • Has the new Intel Atom N270 processor which has the same 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB and 512 KB L2 cache.
  • This too has the Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset.
  • Has a very good 10" WSVGA TFT screen.
  • Has a 1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz.
  • A good 160GB (5400 rpm) hard disk
  • Integrated WiFi 802.11a/b/g LAN connection
  • Integrated Bluetooth
  • Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN connection
  • 4-in-1 card reader slot (SD/MMC/MS/MS pro)
  • Only a 3-cell Lithium-ion battery pack
  • Comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home
  • Weighs 1.25 kgs
  • Only two USB 2.0 ports
  • An integrated 1.3 MP Camera
  • Touchpad with 2 button
  • Build-in Stereo speakers
  • Built-in Microphone
  • Has a added feature of an express card slot

The Lenovo looks very sleek and has most of the features you need. Packs in also an Express Card Slot which maynot be really very useful currently. You don’t currently get that many devices that will plug into the Express Slot and moreover what else do you need coz it’s got almost all the essentials integrated. Also, it comes with the Face Recognition Software for unlocking the machine – kinda cool but do you really need it on a netBook?

The downer was as usual the N270 Atom processor so also the price, also it didn’t come with a LED display and sports the TFT screen. Also, has only the 3-cell li-ion pack.

Acer Aspire One AOD250 : The Acer Aspire One AOD250 is well built, well and are as follows :Acer Aspire One D250

  • Runs on the most advanced and latest Intel Atom processor N280 which boasts of 1.66 GHz processing speed, 667 MHz FSB and also 512 KB L2 cache.
  • This too has the Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset.
  • Has a superb 10.1" SD 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) pixel resolution, high-brightness (200-nit) Acer CrystalBrite LED-backlit TFT LCD.
  • Has a 1-GB DDR2 SDRAM .
  • A good 160GB hard disk
  • Integrated WiFi 802.11 a/b/g LAN connection
  • Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN connection
  • Multi-in-1 card reader
  • Upto a whooping 7-8 hours battery life with the standard 6-cell Lithium-ion battery pack
  • Comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home
  • Weighs 1.27 kgs
  • Three USB 2.0 ports
  • An integrated 0.3 MP Camera
  • Has a Multi-touch(found in high-end Laptops) Touchpad with 2 button
  • Two built-in stereo speakers
  • Built-in Microphone
  • Integrated Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)
Acer Aspire One D250 Red and Blue

This is one hell of a beast I must say – has the latest N280 processor, a 160GB HDD and what makes it stand out from the crowd is the 7-8 hours of seamless battery backup that it offers via a 6-cell lithium ion Battery pack. The multi-touch keypad that supports gestures is also a very good added feature – this helps you easily scroll webpages / documents, also you can easily zoom or shrink an image with a pinch gesture.

The Back-Lit LED display serves two purposes – one, it provides very stunning image quality that is in par to high end HD televisions and secondly, having an LED display saves a whole lot of power and also the life of the screen is considerably increased.

The Final Verdict :

So, as I said before – the NetBook market is currently spoilt for choice. You have just so many options and all of them revolving around the same processor’s (N270 or N280) and the identical MotherBoard and very similar RAM , HDD features. So, in the end you need to make a choice of “Value For Money”. I found the Acer Aspire One D250 to be more of a value for money and also it fulfilled all my needs perfectly.

I got a Acer Aspire One D250 “Sunset Red”, coz as the official website says

Red is a heartbeat, the color of determination, passion and of a fiery soul.

So, it very much speaks for itself and my passion for blogging. As you might have already observed – the number of blog posts and the frequency has already begun to increase. Will keep you folks posted on updates as I use more of the NetBook on the move than my Monster Desktop.

Green Dam hits the Great Wall of China!!

Zhongguo-China For those of you who are not aware of what the Green Dam I am speaking is all about – it’s a new piece of software that was thrust upon it’s Citizens a few weeks back. It is officially called as the “Green Dam for Escorting Children" filtering software which the authorities claim to filter pron and other malicious websites from easy access to children and adults too!! The last of the official statements that was announced by the Chinese IT officials was way back on June 30th, eversince they have kept numb – you may be wondering why?

Well, the new software seems to open a Pandora box of issues including many serious security issues – than protect the users from such stuff for what it was designed in the first place. Last month there was a damning report by Prof. J. Alex Halderman and his team that seems to have nailed the Green Dam to the Great Wall.

User Black Prof. J. Alex and his team claims to have found several serious security flaws in the software which are likely attributed to “Programming Errors”. Also, his team claims that once the Green Dam software is installed it makes the user much more vulnerable to website scripts that can easily take control of the user’s system. Also, these scripts that can target the Green Dam’s vulnerability can easily steal sensitive information off a PC, also can steal passwords, send Spam or simply turn the computer into a botnet. Also, since Green Dam is designed to process blacklist updates – it can easily allow hackers or even the software makers to install malicious code on a user’s PC during the update process.

So, all these seemed to have nailed the Chinese very ambitious Green Dam project – also the program is available only for the PC version, so users of Mac, Linux and other OS’s are spared. Coupled with all this – it is one big flop!!

How to easily get the Highest Score and Fastest Time in FaceBook / MindJolt Crazy Taxi Game

Crazy Taxi LogoWell, of late I have been playing a few FaceBook games like SCRAMBLE, SCRABBLE, Crazy Taxi, etc. I was just checking the High Scores for Crazy Taxi and found quite a few folks having a magic 7 Digit score and I was here struggling with my pals with scores of 5 digits.

So, this afternoon I was looking for any tricks to update the score manually – I found that there was the score being sent via the query string along with a Random Key called as ‘gamekey’ which was being changed for every game. But with so many trials and errors – yet I couldn’t find a solution. Again, a few moments back the idea struck to me to find a solution and I did quite a bit of research and here is the solution I found.

  • A Process List Pops up, If you are using Firefox – select it from the list (Step 2 in above Screenshot). Else if you are using Internet Explorer, you will need to select iexplore.exe from the list.
  • Then hit the Open Button (Step 3 in above Screenshot).
    Cheat Engine
  • The above screen opens up.
  • Select “Enable Speedhack” (Step 1 in above Screenshot).

But please note that this method is currently working in Windows XP and Vista only. Hope you folks find this useful.

Airport staff not to have Pant Pockets : Nepal experiments a novel way to curb Bribery

plane_256 Most developing countries are plagued with one common problem “BRIBERY”. Wherever you go and whatever you do – you’ll need to shell out some bribe to get your work done. It gets more rampant in countries that have a less stable economy. Though India and China boast of stable economy but they beg to differ on the issue of Bribe.

Atleast in country’s like India and Sri Lanka I find some good government officials. Airports are the most famous of all locations where bribing is very rampant. Tourists and travellers are always in a hurry and that’s when the Bribery Virus strikes. When you fly back into the country your luggage is subject to just so many gizzmo’s and the end result of all that is you end up paying more bribe. There are many officials who would directly ask you for the Moolah (a local dialect for cash). But Nepal seems to have found a very intuitive method to curb on bribery at Airports – Ban all Airport staff from having trousers with Pockets!!

Money Though it may sound crazy to hear at first, but I am sure it will deter the officials from exhorting bribe to some extend. What will the officer do with the bribe he collects? Sans pockets he can’t store the booty anywhere.

Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport has now officially banned pants with pockets for all its employees. Nepal is a tiny mountain state surrounded by India and China. The economy relies mainly on tourism but due to the recent turmoils and the fall of the monarchy – it is finding very hard to come back on it’s knees. Surely the officials don’t want to deter the prospective tourists due to the bribe hungry airport officials. Let’s see how this shapes out to be – hope it becomes a success for other airports to follow too.

Gift Ideas : Custom USB Pen Drives

drive-harddisk-usb A few days back I had written an article on “35 Interesting, Funny and Practical USB Pen Drive Designs” which was liked so very much by many of our readers’ – I received just so many mails. Well, as I was pondering over that article today – I struck upon an idea which could make a company’s gifting solution really easy and innovative.

A custom flash drive is a very simple yet very effective gift that a company can provide either to it’s employees or as part of promotions / campaign’s. There are just so many different types of Custom USB Pen drives that can be tailor made to suit each company. The advent of cheaper Solid State memory of 1-2GB has made this idea much more practical and also very effective.

Let’s say a company that sells laptops / Desktops give out a 2GB Custom flash drive with their name etched on it along with the website url – The pen drive is surely gonna change many hands as a person uses it over a period of time. This leads to a lot of publicity. Also, if the USB Pen drive doesnot sport the common leather / metal outer casing and instead features the company’s logo or mascot – it’s surely gonna be a real publicity spinner and will make much more people get interested about the product that is being marketed.

The costs involved in this kind of passive marketing is much lower when compared to print / media ad spends but they target the right audience and instils a positive marketing pitch with the prospective customer. The best part is that the gift is very practical too and is many times useable.

iPhone OS 3.1 Beta And SDK out already!! Available for Free Download

iPhone SDK Logo iPhone OS 3.0 was released to the public barely 2-3 weeks back and already you have a next major update in the form of iPhone OS 3.1 being released in Beta. This has been the very first time in history that Apple has made such a major release in quick succession – though the new 3.1 version is in Beta, it surely does address some major issues that were reported by users of iPhone OS 3.0.

The new iPhone OS 3.1 addresses a major battery issue that many users had reported. The battery values were not getting displayed correctly, but it now seems that the issue is fixed with this Beta release. Also, another change that many users of iPhone OS 3.1 Beta have reported is that MMS has been switched ON by default – looks like the service providers have had their say with Apple. Since, MMS services are offered at a premium with almost all service providers – so turning it ON by default can rake in more usage and in-turn more profits.
